Mohammad Eunus is a Bangladeshi painter, known to work with oil, acrylic and mixed media. He completed his BFA from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka, and his MFA from Tama Art University, Tokyo, Japan. Eunus’s modes of expression often revolve around pure abstraction and abstract expressionism, and his works are marked by his affinity for rich textured, subdued colours and forms. Eunus’s works have been exhibited in group and solo exhibitions in Bangladesh and abroad. He is a recipient of numerous awards including awards by 14th International Miniature Art Competition, Montana, USA; First Islamic Art Biennial, Tehran, Iran; Honourable Mention for Oil Painting, 13th National Art Exhibition, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy; Best Award (Arab Bangladesh Bank Award), 11th National Art Exhibition, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy; Grand Prize, Kodo Art Show, Tokyo, Japan; Grand Prize (Zainul Abedin Best Award) for Oil Painting, Annual Art Exhibition of the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka, to name a few. Eunus is a Professor at the Department of Graphic Design, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka.
