Dilara Begum Jolly is an artist from Bangladesh, known to work with printmaking, sculpture, installation and paintings. She completed BFA and MFA in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka, and went on to earn a Post Diploma in Printmaking from Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati, Santiniketan. Jolly’s concepts often revolve around women’s lives and the patriarchy of society. Her works have been widely exhibited in Bangladesh and abroad. Jolly is a recipient of the All Media Award, University of Chittagong; Award by L’ Alliance Francaise de Chittagong; Zainul Abedin Award, University of Chittagong; Honourable Mention, 12th National Art Exhibition, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy; and the Bengal Foundation Award, 15th National Art Exhibition, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
